There isn’t a feeling that remotely comes close to being on the track right before the green flag drops and witnessing the chills and tears from even the toughest of personalities when our military who made the ultimate sacrifice are honored.
As much as I love and admire horsepower in the four-legged form as beautifully demonstrated by winner Medina Spirit in the Derby, I’m an even bigger fan of the horsepower that launches four wheels.
Frequent visitors to The Automobile Gallery know that change is part of our DNA. On a weekly basis, our wonderful Pit Crew helps us rotate our collection and displays to keep them fresh so that there is always something new to experience whether you are visiting for the first time or the 100th time.
I am pleased to announce that from this day forward our beautiful event center at The Automobile Gallery will officially be known as the Leanne & Mike Haddad Event Center.
At the risk of sounding like the cranky old man working the rocker on the back porch, I’m trying to resist referring to 12 months ago as the “good old days”. One reason that I haven’t descended down that pity path is because I have to admit that I frankly can’t recall much about last February.
It was precisely at the stroke of midnight as 1907 was disappearing into 1908 that a 700-pound “electric ball” fell from the flagpole atop the New York Times building in New York City marking the first-ever ball-drop in Times Square.
